Volunteer Parking and NAC Shuttle

This year volunteers will not have any free parking spaces at Park City Mountain Resort. This means that we will be exploring some alternative ways to get volunteers to the mountain!

National Ability Center Shuttle:
For Monday - Friday:
Every day of the season, we will try our best to run a shuttle from our NAC ranch to the Mountain Center at Park City Mountain Resort.

For weekends and peak days:
All NAC volunteers, participants, and instructors will have to park offsite.

See below for more information on the shuttle and getting here on the weekend!

National Ability Center Ranch Address
1000 Ability Way
Park City, UT 84060

Parking reservations will be free for cars with 4 or more people, so we highly encourage that you carpool with other volunteers or friends. The volunteer team cannot share any volunteer info with other volunteers, so it will be up to you to coordinate a carpool withother volunteers. Parking will also be free on the Canyons side and at Park City High School (only on the weekends) and you can use the free city busses to geta ride to the mountain.

How do I make sure that I have a spot on the NAC shuttle?
All volunteers will need to sign up under our volunteer shuttle spots opportunity on the portal. You can find the opportunity by following the link below or by heading to the "Volunteer Opportunties" tab:
https://volunteer.discovernac.org/opportunity/a3d5w000001J92BAAS/volunteer-shuttle-spots

If you are signed up to help on a lesson, you will have until 4:00 PM the night before your volunteer opportunity to claim a spot on the shuttle. After 4:00 PM, other volunteers who are not helping with lessons may sign up if there are any spots left.
If there are no volunteers signed up by 4:00 PM the day before their lessons, the shuttle will be cancelled.
If you have signed up after 4:00 PM. You MUST send a text to our NAC shuttle phone at (435) 631-0057 with your name and the time slots that you will be signing up for. (ex. first name last name, signing up for morning shuttle and mid day ride back) This is to ensure that the shuttle driver knows that you will be on the shuttle. If you do not send a text, the shuttle driver may leave without you.
.
Due to the capacity of our shuttle, morning volunteers must take the mid-day shuttle and return to the ranch in order to ensure enough spots for those volunteering in the afternoon. For those wanting to use their ski pass to ski after volunteering in the morning, you can park for free without a reservation at the surface lot or parking garage after 1:00 PM. If you choose not to take the mid-day shuttle back to the ranch, we cannot guarantee you a ride back to the NAC ranch. Park City busses do not have a stop at our ranch. You can check in with the volunteer coordinator to see if there are any spots left for the afternoon shuttle.

See below for an example of a sign up! Make sure that you sign up for all the different time slots that you will be attending.
Example: Volunteers who are helping on morning lessons must sign up for the morning shuttle to the mountain center AND the mid-day shuttle from the mountain center to the ranch.

If you signed up for the morning slot, make sure you also sign up for the mid-day shuttle back to the ranch. You can see what that shift looks like below. Make sure you sign up for the correct mid-day shuttle as there are two sign ups.

Please note that one mid-day shuttle goes to the mountain and the other goes to the ranch.

Due to the amount of shuttle spots, volunteers who are helping in afternoon lessons will get priority for the afternoon shuttle back to the ranch. If you are a morning volunteer and want to ski in the afternoon, feel free to check in with the volunteer coordinator to see if there are any open spots on the shuttle ride back to the ranch.

Shuttle Driver Phone:
(435) 631-0057

Please add this number to your phone!
If you need to cancel at the last minute or are running late, please send a text to our shuttle driver phone.
NAC ski & snowboard lessons cannot run without our volunteers, so if you are running late, that effects all of the NAC participants that need the volunteers who take shuttle. Please try your best to be on time and ready for the shuttle.
